Hi everyone. Hope everyone's having a nice day. I'm trying to work out whether it's me, my computer or what. I've just put on JAWS 17 last week. On the mobile Facebook site, I've noticed in the last couple of days that, on a group, clicking "info" on a group brings everything up, except the description (I know there are descriptions because I have created some of these groups). It used to be located between the heading of the group name, and the heading labelled 'Group menu.' On my iPhone's Safari, there are descriptions. Anyone else noticing this? Thanks.
I don't know about the problem, but the solution would be to use Jaws 16 for it as you did before.
Yes, I'm seeing the same problem. No description here. Not sure what to do about it.
If you have 16 installed, see if it works, and report to FS. If it doesn't than 1 of two things could be happening, a change in the mobile site, and/or FS components updated in 17 also affect 16. Unfortunately, these kind can be tough to track down what is exactly happening.
Thanks. It might be worth doing that because I switched over to 16, refreshed the page and still nothing. A sighted person also told me they couldn't see anything but the only thing that made me doubt it was the site's changes was the fact that it worked on my iPhone. I just wondered if anyone else noticed it. thanks for the suggestions. :)
Sounds like facebook changed something. I'm in a group that somebody from my college started, and using jaws 15, have the same problem.
Thank you Battle Star Queen. I actually completely missed Devilish Anthony's post earlier as well, so thanks for that. I think we can safely assume we're looking at a FB issue. I will look in to contacting FB accessibility and perhaps others should as well. I think this could be easily fixed.
Done. The link, if others wish to do likewise is:

I'm curious why you don't use the standard facebook site? It works really great with JAWS, as long as you enable the pass-through keystrokes thingy.
I know it works but I just find the mobile one so much simpler, faster and responsive. I only use Facebook for reading posts and sending messages, nothing else, so I just prefer a simpler layout. I used to use Facebook chat and found it annoying. I prefer the chats to go straight to messages.
